Meditation

Meditation plays a key role in Buddhist teachings and practice.

There are two types of Buddhist meditation: Concentration (Samadhi) and Insight (Vipassana).

The first focuses on stilling the mind through various techniques such as breathing, loving-kindness, compassion and virtues of Triple Gem.

The latter focuses on developing insight through intuition and mindfulness to maintain a healthy mind, happy living and liberate yourself. However, meditation without the right attitude will not help one liberate from one’s suffering. Mindfulness helps one develop the right attitude.

Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness Meditation is a process of learning how to deal with the different situations in our daily life mindfully, a life skill aiding in tranquillity, personal insight and realization of your own self. It is believed to help manage stress, reduce anxiety and increase inner calm. This in-turn leads to an improved sense of focus, clearer state of mind and an overall enhancement to a person’s emotional and physical well-being.
